ATSA states that The Code of Ethics presents a framework for making professional decisions and augmenting our moral compass. ATSA defines our professional code of ethics, but who defines our moral compass? Our moral compass is not a fixed construct, it changes as we face life experiences. This presentation will explore the intersection of the two. This training will take you through a journey. We will begin by considering potentially activating events. Participants will explore the direction our compass may guide us, the potential harm in that guidance, and the ethical importance and expectation that we work to address some of the emotional and/or physical pressures we face.
Throughout the training, we will examine some of the ethical complexities we can encounter in our practice, explore common ethical violations, how to navigate complaints, discuss risk management, and examine the framework for ethical decision-making.
*A note to potential participants: there may be images, audio, or video material presented in this training that could be activating or triggering.
RefundsRefunds will be given prior to 48 hours of the event date, minus a $10 administration fee.
