DESCRIPTION:This workshop provides professionals working with individuals who have engaged in sexual offense behavior with a clearer understanding of the assessment of sexual deviance. It begins with an overview of the research literature and the importance of assessing sexual deviance as part of a comprehensive forensic evaluation and/or treatment program. Presenters will outline a structured approach for evaluating the potential presence of sexual deviance\, with particular attention to how sexual deviance informs risk\, case conceptualizations\, treatment planning\, and supervision in the community. 10AM to 1PM Pacific time.
