I am a Staff Sergeant with the Edmonton Police Service.  I currently work in the Diversion & Desistance Branch where I supervise the Behavioural Assessment Unit (BAU) and the Sex Offender Registry Unit (SORU).  

The BAU team provides offender management, including social agency partner supports, to offenders who are at high risk to commit high harm offences to the public.  Through a continually evolving process, appropriate offenders are identified for management.  BAU members then obtain a 810.1 or 810.2 peace bond is obtained to facilitate the work and provide conditions (structure) for the offender to follow.

The Sex Offender Registry Compliance Investigator manages the Sex Offender Registry portfolio of all registered sex offenders (approximately 1400) reporting to the EPS as directed under the Sex Offender Information Registration Act, conducts investigations to ensure compliance of registered sex offenders and pursues criminal charges against non-compliant registered sex offenders.
