Micaela is a dedicated graduate student currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. With a strong academic foundation in psychology and a deep commitment to supporting individual and community well-being, Micaela is developing the clinical skills and cultural competency necessary to become a compassionate and effective mental health professional.

Prior to graduate studies, Micaela earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University, where she developed an early interest in counseling through coursework and research. She has worked with diverse populations in a variety of settings, including working in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and her senior thesis was on wrongful convictions, which has reinforced her passion for trauma-informed care and advocacy.

Currently, Micaela is gaining hands-on experience through a clinical internship at Orci Counseling Center, where she provides counseling services under supervision, applying evidence-based practices to help clients navigate emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal challenges.

Committed to lifelong learning and ethical practice, Micaela aspires to become a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and contribute meaningfully to the field of mental health.
