He currently serves as the Director of Treatment Services for the New York State Secure Treatment and Rehabilitation Center\, the state's civil confinement program.Since earning his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2000\, Dr. Ballinger has provided treatment\, supervision\, consultation\, evaluation\, and courtroom testimony across inpatient\, outpatient\, correctional\, and civil confinement settings. A dedicated advocate for advancing therapeutic practices in this field\, he is a past president of the New York State Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (NYS ATSA) and an ATSA Fellow.
