STABLE-2007 & ACUTE-2007: Comprehensive risk assessment incorporates the use of both static (e.g., Static-99R) and dynamic risk assessment instruments. The STABLE-2007 & ACUTE-2007 are one of the most commonly used dynamic sexual offense specific risk assessment instruments within behavioral health, correctional, and court settings. This session will provide an overview of the development and research of the STABLE-2007 & ACUTE-2007, item-by-item instructions for scoring the tools, and appropriate interpretation and use within varying settings. This will include recent guidance on the appropriate use of these tools with individuals convicted of child sexual abuse material-related offenses. Case studies will be utilized to facilitate practice throughout the training and to learn to avoid common administration errors. Materials will be sent out on in the week prior to the training. A certificate of completion for the 8-hour training will be provided. Oregon licensed social workers are encouraged to inquire with their board to see if this training qualifies for CEUs.
