About
Broadly, my research investigates the etiology, assessment, and treatment of sexually-violent and aggressive behaviors (i.e., sexual assault, sexual-intimate partner violence, child sexual abuse). I am particularly interested in examining personality pathology (i.e., antagonism, narcissism, psychopathy), impulsigenic traits, alcohol and substance use, and cognitive factors (i.e., attitudes, beliefs, normative misperceptions) as mechanisms of sexual violence, as well as understanding how these risk factors may translate into effective prevention and treatment programs for perpetrators. My research leverages advances in clinical and personality psychology, human sexuality, prevention science, and dissemination and implementation research to answer fundamental questions pertaining to sexual violence and aggression.
