  Through both personal and professional challenges, I know that in life we all at times find ourselves, or our loved ones, feeling stuck, confused, or even more disheartened – hopeless!   

  Counseling/Therapy is about unraveling the story and learning to write a new narrative and ending that is both healthy and fulfilling. With over 30 years of experience in both clinical and pastoral counseling, I am a Clinical Therapist at Kenneth M Adams & Associates, Clinical Sexologist (CS), Diplomate American Board of Sexology, Board Certified Sex Therapist, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), member of the Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse (ATSA),  Adjunct Professor at Siena Heights University, and clinical director at AFFIRM Mental Health Services PLLC. My mission is in helping people through the complexities of life and focusing on all aspects of sexuality both for the individual and in relationships especially when compulsive behavior becomes problematic or out of control. Also, I specialize in administering bio-psycho-social-sexual assessments.

   Holding dual Master's Degrees, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology, I am also a consultant for the Lawyer and Judges Assistance Program (LJAP) with the State Bar of Michigan, and consultant for the Macomb County Friend of the Court/16th Judicial Circuit Court.  In the community I am a safe ally for those in the LGBT+ community.
