About

After receiving her Master’s in Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2002, Shaaron has provided mental health therapy to children, families, and adults. While working in western NC for Mission Children’s Hospital and South. Mountain Children and Family Services, as a residential clinical director, she specifically addressed the needs of children diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, anxiety, attachment, and trauma disorders. From 2009-2016, she focused her attention on working with children who have experienced severe neglect and trauma and subsequently have attachment wounding related to physical and/or sexual abuse, witnessing domestic violence or exposure to traumatic death, and overall lack of attunement and safety from caregivers. During this time, she also opened a private practice in Asheville, NC, and continues to ground her evaluations and treatment in the overall experiences of the individual, how trauma and attachment wounding create maladaptive patterns to meet unmet needs and provide healthy coping skills to support the integration of ones worth and integrity.  Shaaron began working with convicted offenders in 2000. More recently, from 2016 to current, Shaaron provides sex offender-specific evaluations/psychosexual evaluations and obtained her CSAT during this time.  She continues to provide outpatient  treatment to individuals who have experienced attachment ruptures/trauma, as well as,  those struggling with compulsive sexual behaviors and convicted offenders. https://shaaronaboyleslcsw.com/
