Adult Community of Practice: Questions and Musings specific to ADHD and Sexuality

Monday, January 12, 2026 (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (CST)

Description

Individuals within the criminal justice system exhibit higher rates of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This overrepresentation of neurodivergent individuals within the criminal justice system has significant implications for assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation strategies within forensic settings. ADHD is often misdiagnosed, with clinicians frequently mistaking its symptoms for other conditions. Further, various aspects of ADHD can impact sexuality. This is a crucial factor to understand when addressing sexually problematic behaviors.

This interactive session is aimed at discussing common problems that occur at the crossroads of ADHD and sexuality. Dr. Piché will answer your questions in regards to elements specific to ADHD, sex and sexual offending.  Come join us for an interactive hour of discussions, musings and explorations as these relate to ADHD, sex and the criminal justice system.  By addressing the unique needs of individuals with ADHD within the criminal justice system, we increase our chances to provide better outcomes for both clients and the community as a whole.
