Salary range DOE: $106,488 - $152,487 plus outstanding benefits
The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a residential, sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides services to over 700 individuals who have been civilly committed for sexual offending. MSOP is a national leader in the industry and is committed to providing services on the leading edge of the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of clients. MSOP has facilities in Moose Lake and St. Peter, MN.
In this role as MSOP Clinical Director for St Peter, MN you will implement, direct, and manage the treatment services at MSOP-St. Peter consistent with ethical, legal, and best practice standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that the clinical services in St. Peter (approx. 200 clients) occur within a therapeutic environment conducive to change while maintaining public safety. In addition, this role will oversee clinical programming-therapeutic recreation, education, and vocational services provided at MSOP-St. Peter. This is a leadership role that will manage staff in the areas of clinical, clinical programming, assessment, and support services.
Responsibilities include:
Direct and oversee the delivery of a wide array of behavioral and mental health services to maintain a therapeutic environment while ensuring client, employee, and public safety. Ensure the continuous improvement and provision of effective, ethical, and appropriate treatment. Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to facility employees, and monitor the implementation of instructions/directives to ensure public, employee, and client safety.
Ensure the training of clinical, clinical programming, and operation staff to maintain the quality and consistency of therapeutic practices consistent with program design
Influence and shape the strategic and tactical direction of clinical, clinical programming, and operational services to support the overall ability of MSOP and St. Peter specifically to achieve short and long-term objectives.
Provide administrative leadership in the development and implementation of the budget.
Serve as a representative of MSOP at the discretion of MSOP senior management, serve as the MSOP liaison with DCT staff, other state agencies, and legislature, the legal community, and the public to prompt an understanding of MSOP and its mission.
Serve as a program representative in court activities.
Advance the agency’s mission, values, and goals and comply with all applicable laws and policies, and maintain a workplace that is ethical, respectful, and professional.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree with current license in the State of Minnesota as an Independent Behavioral Health Professional or licensed eligible from another State. (e.g., LICSW, LP, LPCC, LMFT)
- Four years (4) of managerial experience in a therapeutic, residential or forensic setting, or hospital environmental. And this experience must include the following:
Identifying and cultivating talent, promoting a culture of high performance and teamwork, and prioritizing professional development
Program development and delivery; identifying solutions
Budget management
Providing clinical supervision in a sex offense specific treatment program
Planning, delivering and evaluating clinical services such as individual or group therapies in a sex offense specific program.
Directing the development of clinical policies, procedures and program initiatives
- Ability to work onsite M - F in St. Peter, MN
Preferred Qualifications
Ph. D or Psy D.
In-depth knowledge of the current practices within the fields of sex offense specific treatment and ATSA standards Member of ATSA
Experience or understanding the role of courts in a forensic or treatment setting
Experience working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures
