Job Posting for NuStep Professional Counseling, Syracuse, New York

Full Time Licensed Therapist 

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services to clients with a history of sexual offending.
• Provide risk assessments for admission to the program, including a clinical interview, review of collateral information and making treatment recommendations.  Ability to utilize static and dynamic risk tools; such as Static-99R, Stable 2007 and ACUTE. (Training is available)
• Work with clients to develop treatment goals and treatment plans and review treatment progress at least quarterly.
• Document treatment services.
• Attend monthly team meetings with Probation, Parole, and Office of Mental Health.
• Work with fellow treatment providers closely and attend monthly team meetings.
• Attend 3-4 trainings through-out the year, including some overnights. 
• Position requires travel once a week to Utica and one evening group in Syracuse, NY with flexibility. 
• 40-hour work week

Requirements:

• LCSW or Master’s Degree as a counselor, State licensed in New York.
• Experience providing individual clinical therapy.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Salary:

• Starting salary $55,000-$70,000 for Licensed clinician depending on experience.
